Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 30, 2026

This policy describes how Liberty Landing Housing & Support Foundation, Inc. collects, uses, and protects your information. We are committed to being transparent about our practices and to safeguarding the trust of every person we serve.

Introduction

Liberty Landing Housing & Support Foundation, Inc. ("Liberty Landing," "we," "us," or "our") is a Georgia registered nonprofit organization committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors, donors, volunteers, and the individuals and families we serve. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or interact with our services.

We are dedicated to honoring the trust placed in us by the veterans, seniors, and vulnerable individuals we serve, and we handle all personal information with care and respect.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Information You Provide

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you reach out, request assistance, volunteer, or subscribe to updates.
  • Donation information: name, email address, billing details, and transaction history when you make a gift. Payment card numbers are processed entirely by our payment partner, Zeffy, and are never stored on or transmitted through our servers. See the "Donations, Zeffy, and Your Payment Information" section below.
  • Program information: details you share when requesting housing assistance or support services.
  • Volunteer information: your interests, availability, and background as relevant to volunteer opportunities.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, time on site, referring website, and approximate location based on IP address.
  • Device and browser data: browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance or services.
  • Process donations and provide acknowledgments and receipts.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities and partnerships.
  • Communicate with you about our programs, events, and impact, including newsletters you have opted into.
  • Improve our website, services, and outreach.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and security of our organization and the people we serve.

Donations, Zeffy, and Your Payment Information

Liberty Landing partners with Zeffy, a nonprofit donation platform, to securely process all gifts made through our website. Zeffy charges no platform fees, so 100% of your donation supports our mission.

What happens when you click "Donate"

When you select any "Donate" button on our site, you are redirected to a secure donation form hosted by Zeffy (it opens in a new browser tab). The donation form — including the page where you enter your name, contact details, and payment information — is operated and secured by Zeffy, not by Liberty Landing. Zeffy's own privacy policy and terms govern the information you submit on their platform; we encourage you to review Zeffy's Privacy Policy before completing your gift.

Information handled by Zeffy

When you make a donation, Zeffy collects and processes your payment and donor information, which may include:

  • Your name, email address, and billing address.
  • Your payment card or bank account details.
  • The donation amount, frequency (one-time or recurring), and any dedication or note you choose to add.
  • Transaction records and, where applicable, details needed to issue your tax-deductible receipt.

Liberty Landing does not receive, access, or store your full payment card number or direct banking credentials. That sensitive data is handled solely by Zeffy and its underlying payment infrastructure.

Information shared with Liberty Landing

After a donation is completed, Zeffy shares limited donor and transaction details with us so we can acknowledge your gift, provide transparency, and steward our relationship with you. This may include:

  • Your name and email address.
  • The donation amount, date, and frequency.
  • Any note, dedication, or comment you included with your gift.
  • Aggregate and anonymized reporting used to track our fundraising impact.

We use this information to send thank-you acknowledgments and official donation receipts, to respond to your questions, and — only if you have opted in — to share occasional updates about our programs and impact. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

Your donor rights and choices

  • Receipts: Zeffy automatically issues a donation receipt to the email address you provide. If you did not receive one, check your spam folder or contact us and we will help you follow up with Zeffy.
  • Recurring gifts: You can manage, pause, or cancel a recurring donation through your Zeffy donor account or by contacting Zeffy support.
  • Anonymous giving: You may choose to donate anonymously on Zeffy's form. In that case, Zeffy may share only limited or aggregate information with us.
  • Access and correction: To update or request removal of the donor information we hold, contact us using the details in the "Contacting Us" section. To update information held by Zeffy (such as payment methods), contact Zeffy directly.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: trusted third parties that help us operate our website, process donations, send communications, or deliver services (such as payment processors and email platforms), under agreements that require them to protect your information.
  • Program partners: when necessary to connect you with housing, healthcare, employment, or community resources, and only with your consent where appropriate.
  • Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our organization, our community, or others.
  • Organizational operations: with board members, volunteers, and staff who need the information to carry out their responsibilities.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyze traffic, and remember your preferences. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, some features of our site may not function properly without them.

If we use third-party analytics tools, those providers may set their own cookies to help us understand site usage. We do not use these tools to identify you personally.

Data Security

We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include restricting access to authorized personnel only, using secure connections for sensitive data, and regularly reviewing our practices.

However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records related to program participants and donations may be retained longer to meet nonprofit reporting and audit requirements.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to or a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Withdraw consent where we relied on consent to process your data.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information provided in the "Contacting Us" section below.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
